Jeff Croft reacts to Zeldman’s article on the ‘crisis in web standards’:

I wouldn’t be satisfied if Adobe didn’t release a significant new version of Photoshop for five years, so I don’t see why I should be satisfied that the W3C hasn’t released a significant new version of their tools, either.

Now that’s just silly talk. Standards need to be updated if they don’t suffice anymore, not because consumers are hot for a new hip thing.
